Discipleship is a lifelong journey, and it doesn’t stop once we reach adulthood. At First UCC Milford, we offer a variety of opportunities for adults to keep growing in faith and community. These include weekly Bible studies, Sunday programs, seasonal series during Lent, book studies, couples’ gatherings, retreats, and other special events.

All of our adult formation and fellowship opportunities are designed to deepen faith, spark curiosity about Christian practices and history, and help us listen for the God who is still speaking. Together, we seek wisdom, ask questions, and discover how our tradition connects with the challenges and hopes of today.

Grief Support

Life can bring unexpected losses, and the journey through grief is deeply personal. In the Grief Support group, adults come together in the First Church Parlor to share stories, prayers, and companionship. It’s a space to lean into our shared humanity and find comfort among those who understand. If you’re involved in navigating loss, this group is a reminder you don’t walk alone.

Women’s Fellowship

Every Wednesday at 10 AM, the Fellowship Hall becomes a warm gathering place for the women of First UCC Milford. Together, they share conversation, creativity, laughter, and lunch—a moment to rest in community. Bring a sandwich; desserts and beverages are provided. Whether you come for crafts or companionship, you’ll leave uplifted and rooted in connection

Knit Night

Love knitting, crocheting, or just being creative with your hands? Knit Night is a relaxed, joyful time to gather in community, share projects, pick up new skills, or simply enjoy conversation while crafting. It’s less about perfect stitches and more about fellowship, support, and friendship. Details and times are posted on the church calendar.

Adult Retreat

Once a year, we retreat to Silver Lake for a few days away from the rush of daily life. The Adult Retreat offers time outdoors, unhurried conversation, prayer, reflection, and renewal. It’s a chance to step back, refresh your spirit, and reconnect with both God and others. Childcare may be available so more people can attend without worry. Look for registration info each fall.
