The Emma Davis Medical Equipment Ministry is a long-standing outreach of First UCC Milford that has offered compassionate service for decades. Named for Emma Davis, a church member remembered for her deep care for neighbors in need, the ministry began in 1968 when the Deacons felt called to continue her legacy. Since then, church members have collected, repaired, and distributed used medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches—providing them free of charge across the state. Today, the ministry is overseen by the Board of Christian Outreach and is sustained by more than a dozen dedicated volunteers. In 2018 alone, over 500 pieces of equipment were shared with people in need.

How to Get Involved
The ministry depends on volunteers who share in maintenance, record-keeping, phone coverage, and client service. Volunteers clean and repair equipment, track inventory, and ensure that people receive the help they need with care and dignity. If you are interested in joining this team of compassionate volunteers, please call the church office at 203-877-4277 for more information.
