What a year we are “Imagining” together in 2025 – THANK YOU
From Food Pantry Sharing to Mission Trips, VBS to Medical Equipment Lending, and meals for Beth-El Shelter, First Church continues to love our neighbors in 2025. Together we’ve mourned losses and celebrated baptisms, weddings, and confirmations. We renovated and refreshed our church building, from weathervane in the sky to new signage on the grounds. We have developed a new website, implemented online giving options, and improved sound for worship. These help us reflect our vibrant calling and renewing vision of God’s Dream.
Every year through the budget process, we look at the needs and possibilities of the church, and we ask the congregation’s members and friends for a pledge commitment to help meet those needs and reach for those possibilities.
An Invitation to Generosity
Matt Piscatelli, First Church Treasurer, invites to consider the First UCC Milford Budget 2026 in our budget planning. This coming year we are Dreaming God’s Dream: No gift is too small, no dream is too big!
Why We Give
Stephanie and Cece remind us that together we can dream! Join us in supporting the ministries of First UCC Milford in 2026 through our Dreaming God’s Dream Stewardship Campaign.
As the Stewardship Ministry, understanding that our Budget 2026 expenses will be in the neighborhood of $700,000, we have set a Pledge Commitment Campaign Goal of $400,000 for 2026. This is a greater amount than we have asked for in recent years; however, we have seen what this Congregation is capable of, we have heard the excitement among our ministries, and we have God’s dream and Spirit to guide us.
Our 2026 theme is Dreaming God’s Dream. Together we will discern God’s Dream and what we can do to help make it a reality.
No gift too small, no dream to big.

You’ll receive a pledge commitment card (or click on the button for pledge card). We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can commit, fill out the card, and return to church on Nov. 16th (or click the commitment button for an online pledge).

For six years I have had the privilege of serving this community on the Stewardship Ministry – it has been quite an honor. On many occasions I have been asked, “Why give?” and specifically, “Why do you give?” I give because the staff here engages in educating me in what it means to follow Christ and to love our neighbors; they care for me in times of grief and times of celebration; and they push me to seek what it means to dream God’s dream.
