Lenten: Sharing Our Stories

Lent is a season in the church calendar. It is 6 1/2 weeks from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday before Easter (not counting Sundays). It's a time to reflect, repent and prepare for Easter. Lent can be a time to connect with God, each other and oneself.

We have a challenge for you. Over the course of 40 days of Lent, we hope you will challenge yourself to have 40 conversations. Just one a day, like a vitamin. Conversations to share your story, listen to others' stories, and open yourself to God's story. Stories hold a lot about who we are, as individuals and about our faith, our culture, our history. 

For some people that's easy! You see them in the grocery store, and they stop to catch up by the canned soup.

For others, we have to plan it. Work up a little courage. "Hey, so and so, I'd love to give you a call this week. What works for you?" Or, "Want to chat during coffee hour?"
