Hurricane Sandy Relief

We at the First United Church of Christ in Milford are encouraging donations for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. You may make an online donation below and designate who you would like help.

National Relief

The United Church of Christ is providing both short-term and long-term relief through its One Great Hour of Sharing and National Disaster Ministries. As a recent UCC.ORG news article stated: "Hurricane Sandy has come and gone, but the effects continue to be felt as 17 states in the Eastern U.S. begin the long road to recovery. Despite the challenges ahead, the United Church of Christ wants everyone to know it's here to help for as long as help is needed."

Local Relief

The United Way of Milford provides support locally. Your gift will be used to provide emergency relief and longer term rehabilitation to local residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Giving to the United Way through our Church website helps us better track how our Congregation is supporting the community as a whole.

Senior Pilgrim Fellowship

Members of First UCC's high school youth group, Senior Pilgrim Fellowship, spent the night outside our Sanctuary on Saturday, November 10th, in solidarity with people who have lost their homes and heat to Hurricane Sandy. They raised over $1,000 so far, which will be split 50/50 between National and Local relief efforts. You may contribute to their efforts below to have your donation split and sent along to both the local and national agencies.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity!
