When and Where We Worship

The central event of church is Sunday worship.

During the COVID pandemic, we invite you to check out our News & Events page and Be the Church from Home page to find out how we are worshiping as we adapt to evolving realities.

When we are not dealing with a pandemic, we traditionally ave two worship services - a smaller, 45-minute worship service starting at 8:00 AM in the Chapel (18 West Main St.) and the larger, 60-minute service at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary  with nursery care and Sunday school during worship. The Chapel and Sanctuary stand next to the lower Duck Pond, across the river from each other, opposite Milford City Hall ...

Chapel Worship Service
8:00 AM
–  approximately 45 minutes

Our weekly 8:00 AM worship service offers a shortened version of our Meetinghouse service, and is held in a smaller setting of the Woodruff Memorial Chapel in the Plymouth Building, which is located at 18 West Main Street (across the river from the larger Meetinghouse). There is no Sunday School during this service and childcare is not available. The Chapel is handicapped accessible.

Sanctuary Worship Service
10:00 AM (school year)
9:30 AM (summer: Father's Day - late August)
     approximately one hour

Our Sanctuary service is the primary worship service of First Church.  Taking place in our Meetinghouse on 34 West Main Street, the service includes music by the Church Choirs and a children's story, and coincides with our children's Sunday School sessions.  Nursery care is provided during every meetinghouse service with a paid caregiver.
