Lent is the season when we confront our guilt in order, in the words of Rachel Howard, to "explode it" (with God's help).
What is something that you feel truly sorry for having done so far in your life? Where is the deepest guilt residing in your heart? (You may or may not feel comfortable writing down an answer, especially to the second question; that's okay.)
Do you sense that God forgives you for that which you feel guilty?
If so, how does that feel?
If not, what might help you move closer to experiencing God's grace and mercy?
Where do you worry that culture of society at large is most guilty of something that is hurting humankind and creation?
Does God forgive society for its destructive actions?
