Were you there?

Consider the scene from Garden of Gethsemane with Jesus praying before he is betrayed. We will explore this question in our worship and faith enriching opportunities and hope that you will join us on this journey.

  • Shrove Tuesday Virtual Pancake Supper -Feb. 16, 2021--6 PM on Zoom
  • Ash Wednesday – Feb. 17, 2021--Distribution of Ashes 7 AM-8 AM Drop by Sanctuary Portico Steps; Online Prayer Service YouTube at 7 PM
  • Lenten Meditation Series – Thursdays during Lent on Facebook. Join us for a 7 minutes meditation in music and word.
  • Lenten Reflections – Visit the Website for a weekly reflection.
  • Lenten Coffee Hours—Were You There? 10:45 AM on Zoom for a 20 minute fellowship gathering! Come and share or come and listen to the wonderful experiences of others in the faith community!
  1. Feb. 21 – Were you there, at First Church, when we had a basketball court? Were you there in the 1930s or 40s? We would love to hear what you remember!
  2. Feb. 28 – Were you there, at First Church, when the Plymouth Building and Woodruff Chapel were built? Do you remember Sunday School out there or musicals that were       
  3. performed? Do you remember when the church joined the United Church of Christ?
  4. Mar. 7 – Were you married at First Church? Come and share your stories, and we would love to see a picture!
  5. Mar. 14 – Were you there, at First Church in the 1960s or 1970's? How was Milford different around the church?
  6. Mar. 21 – Were you there, at First Church in the 80s or 90s? What was youth group like? Did you do any of the travel ministry?
  7. Mar. 28 – What celebrations were you at First Church to celebrate? Confirmations? Eagle Scout Ceremonies? Paying off a mortgage? Mission Trip?
  • Lenten Labyrinth – An outdoor labyrinth with guided meditations and soundtrack will be available in March. More information to come!
  • March 13, 2021 – (7 PM) I Come to the Garden Prayer Vigil, marking the year anniversary of closures around us due to COVID 19. Come and pray. Light a Candle. Remember those whom we have lost. Remember ways of life changed. Listen to the music of Lent. Some spaced seating will be available, but feel welcome to bring a camp chair. Masks required.
  • Palm Sunday – If you would like to assist with distributing Palms prior to Sunday Worship, please contact Rev. Adam Eckhart.
  • Maundy Thursday – 7 PM Virtual Worship
  • Good Friday – Faith Experience for all ages 10 AM
  • Easter – Sunrise Service; 9 AM In Person Worship; 10 AM Online Worship
  • Garden Visits -- TBD
