For Adults

We believe that God is still speaking and our own discipleship does not stop once we reach adulthood.

As Fall 2020 begins, we are excited to connect you with a weekly devotion from our Southern New England Conference of the UCC.

Each Monday a new devotion is posted.  We hope that whereever you are, you'll be able to find insights and inspirations.

All of First Church's Adult Christian Formation & Education opportunities are meant to deepen our faith, build our internest in Christian practices and history, and challenge us to listen for God, who is still speaking.  We will listen for God's voice in our studies together! We will post opportunties on this page as they arise. We encourage every adult in the congregation to pariticipate in a study, program or event during the Church year.

Money Autobiography "Take Care" Opportunity

Sunday – September 27, 11:45-1:00pm

As part of the Stewardship Ministry's fall campaign, we are presenting a series of "take care" opportunities. This Zoom discussion, "Take Care" of Our Money, is a workshop that reveals one's attitudes, behaviors and feelings about money. In small breakout groups, you'll be presented with discussion questions. These questions are designed to get to know how your fellow stewards have been shaped by childhood, youth and adult experiences with money. No, we're not asking for any money, but we sure would like to hear what you think about it! Questions/Concerns:

We also offer a number of intergenerational programs: Sunday School Family events, Panel Discussions, Summer Programs and Special Worship Services.

If you have any questions about these programs, please don't hesitate to call us at 877-4277, and ask to speak with the Minister of Faith Formation or one of the Pastors.
