Hosanna!

A Spiritual Journey Through Holy Week

Lenten Study led by Rev. Jim and Rev. Ashley
Each Sunday evening in March: 6:30-7:45pm

(March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29)

Church Library

Every one of the four Gospel writers and Paul have a reason for writing. Each wants his audience to come to see who Jesus Christ is and what God is doing in and through him. Hosanna invites you to explore the main texts in all four Gospels and in Paul’s writings that deal specifically with the last week of Jesus’ life and with the resurrection.

We invite you to listen and respond to five stories of the One Story, over five sessions.  Join us on this Lenten spiritual journey through Holy Week.

Childcare is provided.  Cost: $13 for resource book (one per family).  Financial assistance is available upon request.  Sign up and order your resource book by Feb. 15; call the Main Office 877-4277.

     Questions, email Rev. Ashley:  mfducc.cemin@gmail.com

Family Read

Motheread®, now known as Family Read, is a free non-profit program sponsored by Kids Count of Milford.  The free ten week program is offered to parents/guardians of children age two to eight on Wednesday evenings at the First United Church of Christ Congregational, 34 West Main St., Milford. This program will begin on Wednesday, February 4 and run through April 8, 2008 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Dinner and child care will be provided.

Family Read, using the Motheread̉ curriculum, uses award-winning children's literature to promote a reading relationship in families while helping children develop critical thinking skills. It will help families develop meaningful conversations, and will encourage children and adults to share stories.

Please feel free to contact Sue Pavelko at 203-877-1980 or Amy Donegan at 203-876-2748 for additional information and registration.
